Frequently Asked Questions

Q? DO YOU OFFER PRIVATE TOURS?

A. Yes. Private trolleys are available for every tour. Trolleys are also available for weddings, shuttle services, reunions, parties, corporate events, and more. Contact Us for more details.

Q? MAY I STORE A STROLLER ON THE TROLLEY?

A. We are required to keep the aisle clear for the safety of all passengers. Most of our guests choose to store their larger belongings in their personal vehicles.

Q? ARE THE TROLLEYS HANDICAPPED ACCESSIBLE?

A. We currently have two trolleys that are equipped for mobility-impaired individuals. These trolleys are used for our most popular tours. The only time they would not be available is when they are offline for maintenance. Please contact us if you have any specific questions.

Q? CAN WE SIT TOGETHER?

A. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. The trolley is generally open for seating 15 minutes prior to departure.

Q? ARE THE TOURS A STEP-ON, STEP-OFF SERVICE?

A. No. Tours offer continuous narration. Some tours have pre-planned stops determined as part of each tour that includes narrative. For those passengers requesting to leave the trolley during the tour for special circumstances (unruly children, need for public restroom facilities, etc.) we are unable to make arrangements to let you re-board, and refunds are not provided. We strongly recommend that you make any necessary arrangements before boarding at the beginning of the tour.

Q? ARE THE TROLLEYS AIR-CONDITIONED?

A. Absolutely.

Q? ARE THE TROLLEYS HEATED?

A. Yes. However, you should dress for the weather. The trolleys will not feel as warm as your personal vehicle.

Q? CAN WE EAT OR DRINK ON THE TROLLEY?

A. Bottled water and coffee cups with lids are fine. For the consideration of fellow passengers, food and snacks are prohibited aboard the trolley to avoid noise, trash, and food smells.

Q? DO YOU OFFER DISCOUNTS?

A. We do offer ticket discounts for groups greater than 20 adult persons. We also offer discounts to Military, Retired Military, schools, and non-profit organizations when they purchase Group tickets ONLY. Contact us directly for details.

Q? ARE GROUP RATES AVAILABLE?

A. Groups of 20 or more may purchase tickets at a reduced rate. Please call us in advance. Your group of 20 or more might opt to take a regularly scheduled tour, or you may prefer to schedule a private tour. Contact us for more information.

Q? WHERE CAN WE PARK DOWNTOWN?

A. There are several options when parking:

  • Visitor Center: There is a small lot beside the Visitor Center where you can park if parking space is available.
  • Street: Parking on the streets is at no cost, subject to availability.

Q? WHAT IS THE COST FOR THE TOUR?

A. The adult ticket fares are listed with each tour. Tickets for children are also listed – please read each tour as age restrictions vary per tour. Children who are younger than three ride for free. However, they will need to sit on a parent’s lap if the trolley is full. We do not have storage for strollers except on the back balcony, nor will we be responsible for strollers. Aisles must be kept free and clear.

Q? IS THERE A PLACE ON THE TROLLEY TO STORE SHOPPING BAGS?

A. The rear balcony of each trolley can hold a limited amount of shopping bags if they do not fit beneath your seat. Please keep in mind that you are solely responsible for your bags and carry on items.

Q? ARE PETS ALLOWED?
  • Pets are not allowed unless they are used as Service Animals for the disabled. We do not have accommodations for pets.
  • Since March 15, 2011, only dogs are recognized as service animals under titles ii and iii of the ADA.
  • Service animals are defined as dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities. Examples of such work or tasks include guiding people who are blind, alerting people who are deaf, pulling a wheelchair, alerting and protecting a person who is having a seizure, reminding a person with mental illness to take prescribed medications, calming a person with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) during an anxiety attack, or performing other duties. Service animals are working animals, not pets. The work or task a dog has been trained to provide must be directly related to the person’s disability. Dogs whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the ADA.
